Test How Fast Your Webpage Loads In a Real Browser Using loads.in

Site speed is an important factor in rankings of your website and to know the loading time of your page, recently Google introduced “site speed” but here I found one more tool having a very nice interface which detects the loading time of your website in any browser you choose from the list they have to offer and I found this site a cool one.

Loads.in is the place to go to check the loading speed of your webpage. The site up there is having a pretty easy to use interface and it looks neat, dark and cool all the way, moreover it works almost perfectly without any bug in it and finally, it’s FREE.

loads.in test how fast a webpage loads in a real browser from over 50 locations worldwide

If you have a worldwide audience, or your site is hosted in a different country from where your visitors live, it is useful to see how long it takes to load your web pages. With loads.in you simply enter the full URL of the page you want to check, and the page is retrieved by a browser at a random location. For each subsequent check you can choose a specific location and browser profile.

As a result you will be presented with:

  • The load time of the web page.
  • Snapshots of the webpage at different times during load.
  • Errors or warnings if they occur.
  • A complete timing break down of all elements of your page in a waterfall chart.
  • The possibility to download the timing results in the Http Archive (HAR) format.

Features

  • Checks your site with real browsers.
  • Choose from Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox browser profiles.
  • Checks your site from over 50 locations.
  • Provides snapshots and waterfall charts for each check.

Below is what I got when I tried it to check the loading time of my site by entering the site url in the field given up there on the site and clicking the start button :

The result was 7.58 seconds. Yes, that’s the time in which my site loads from Safari 4 from Ashburn, U.S.A which is a default location chosen by the site. You can choose from over 50 locations and test your site loading time.

Now, you can head over to loads.in keeping this page open and come back again after testing your site loading time to comment what your loading time is!

I suggest trying an other browser with those feature. All can be set as the default browser. One is Opera, it has sites on front page if you want, and can be turned into full screen I believe, and it has a lot of widgets and also it has screen types or themes.
