I differ a bit with what you have written. The idea of article marketing is changing slowly. Look at Ezine and the changes they have made – no commercial / sales purpose content. Even the article marketing content has to be "personal" now.
I think guest posting and article content marketing is almost same….they are informative, gets you back links, and gets you traffic.
