Recently as I have been shouting out about the issue of getting my domain blocked by Google AdSense, I thought about it while sitting back at my chair and with the same table from where I started blogging from a scratch and what I am today! This article will show my love and hate for Google AdSense. This is going to be a long article but I am sure, you will enjoy reading it.
I started blogging back in January 2010 and ever since, I have been researching each and every part of blogging and mostly SEO as I know, with SEO, any site can make wonders and I am somehow quite successful in it as well with more than 30 articles from my site are ranking on top for Google searches and over hundreds are in top 10.
After few months, I came to know about how to earn money via blogging and then I was interested in Google AdSense and applied for it, got it rejected almost more than 8-9 times, I didn’t give up, kept trying and got rejected for 8-9 times more and then found someone who got it approved to me and I’m personally thankful to him.
Well, as I just want to thank Google AdSense first, let me do it!

Thank you for making me spend hours for just researching about you and also for my blogging, thank you for giving me the opportunity to earn my first penny through your AdSense program.
Thank you for giving me smile every month for over a year’s period and also making my parents proud of me for having earned so high via blogging! Yes, this is the main reason why I still love you.
Thank you for making me blog better by researching about keywords to earn more, CPC, etc.
It’s been a nice time working with you and having you by my side on my blog but now that you’ve decided to stop the tie-up with me, I am even more happy! Yes, I am and I will be telling you the reason for that as well but in the text after this letter.

This is all what I want to say to Google AdSense and it was me who violated its terms by having hacking articles on my blog so I have nothing to say to defend myself. But, the thing which hurt me the most was not getting a reply to my appeal even when I removed my violated articles and asked them to reconsider the issue.
Google is worth 100 billion dollars and they can’t hire people to answer emails. If you guys go through their support forums, you will find thousands of people facing an issue of not getting a proper reply back to their questions and they don’t even have a single employee assigned there to answer to the forum questions.
I know, as a business they owe us nothing but there is something like “Customer service” in which AdSense fails completely. The famous quotes apply on Google AdSense team i.e “There ain’t no answer. There ain’t going to be any answer. There never has been an answer. That’s the answer.” – Gertrude Stein
Just because they find couple or more pages from anyone’s site, they ban their domain or just ban that AdSense publisher! I mean, what this all bullshit is? Why Google just can’t simply stop serving ads to those particular pages and not the whole site and let the publisher continue with the other pages? This question makes sense as well!
From everything I’ve read and seen around here, basically Google presumes you are guilty until you prove you are innocent. The problem is you can’t always prove you are innocent when there is nothing wrongfully done. To make the issue worse, once your appeal fails they pretty much exile you and refuse to have any other communication with you, even about your appeal.
It seems it doesn’t matter what the issue is, invalid clicks, policy issues, or otherwise. Unless you have so much traffic that you gain a direct communication with Google, they don’t talk with you.
Unfortunately this is all in their terms of use and contract you sign up with them, and poor customer service is not illegal in the USA. So they get away with it.
I have read numerous times that Google expects a normal CTR to be around 2%, any higher and they suspect fraud. Placing your ads in prime locations can raise CTR to 5% or even 10% if you treat the ads right. However then Google thinks you are tricking users into clicking on the ads, or causing the users to accidentally click on them. For example gaming sites must have ads at least 150px away from the game, which makes putting ads on gaming pages near useless. Google’s logic is it prevents accidental clicks.
The reality of the situation:
1. Don’t trust Google
2. Diversify your advertising partners
3. Google’s click fraud detection is poor at best, and they are worried of getting caught on it
I have never, ever done business with a company that brick walls, black balls, and provides as poor “partner” relations as Google. Unless you make them 100k+ a year they really don’t care about you.
I think all it needs is one class action suit, and Google will crumble. Google’s current business model is monopolistic, arbitrary and open to manipulation (internally & externally), and alarmingly, with no regulatory checks in place. For the amount of money changing hands here, it is ridiculous. Even Microsoft never went as far as Google has now.
But wait, Are you thinking that I’m writing all these just out of my frustration of losing the AdSense? No way (LOL)! I was always having a watch over these issues and it’s just that I have the opportunity to write about it with a right reason. If you think I’ve stopped earning then you’re wrong again. Read ahead. .
After losing AdSense on this site, I started researching again and built up 10 new sites which are called micro niche websites which are made specially to earn more from Google. Yes, I will have my chance to f**k Google once because I’ve heard that destiny gives chance to anyone and everyone, all one has to do is to wait for that chance or create one. I am just looking to create one and so far, I am successful with earning more than what I was earning previously! Want proof? I got my own new iMac just by the earnings from AdSense last month and I think this is enough to describe what I would be earning.
I am not objecting that it’s all Google’s fault but after all these, I have come to one conclusion is that “Google needs competition”. Dear Facebook ads, are you reading this? I think Facebook Ad should be made just as AdSense because in current market, Facebook is the only one which can compete with Google and can even defeat Google because Mark Zuckerberg is not getting traffic to Facebook because he is using any fraud methods but because he has gained trust of his users.

Good to show gratitude by thanking Google. But I don't agree with the issue of banning particular pages. The fact of the matter is that, Google has a TOS which has certain set of rules. So how can anyone blame it after breaking the rule.
Also, you're blaming AdSense for completely not listening to your appeal mail. But it's not like that Rahul, no ad company does that. I used to use Adbrite a couple of years ago and after that I used to earn a good amount of money monthly. Then suddenly one day they stopped serving ads without notice. I asked them for an explanation and they replied saying that we don't want to do business further. So we've banned your account and would ban if you register another account in future.
I do agree with the point that Google AdSense is thinking that only they are the super power when it comes to advertising currently. Hope we bloggers stop giving AdSense over-importance. Also, good to hear that you've moved on and started working on other projects. Wish you luck.

Banning some pages is just an idea of my mind and it can work better if implemented for Google and publishers both.
Wait, I am not blaming them just because I got caught by them or something. . As I said, I was analyzing all these from the start and I always knew that one day or the other, I will get myself banned but I was not worried just because I didn’t blog to earn at all and that’s how my ethics work. I am my own boss and google can’t replace that place.
Its just that Google AdSense doesn’t seem completely working to benefit publishers and they seem to be banning accounts just so that they can seize the money earned by them at that time

Its nice taking out all grudges against Google Adsense program. We use Google Adsense just because of the fact that they pay us higher than other networks. This doesn't make them "better" than other companies. In fact, I will stop using Adsense once I figure out some new income source with a well "customer-care" support. I love HostGator for its after-sales service support, and you would have experienced it yourself as well in your blogging career. In the end, Google is no-doubt a blind. People know this quite well.

Diversifying is the only option left. I use 2-3 advertisers and rely on google the least. That's the best I can do to avoid any shock from "Google has banned you" emails.

Seems you were one of the unlucky ones that Google apparently never liked. I've never really had any issues with any Google products, including AdSense, even after I was banned from AdSense back in 2008-2009 because some idiot decided to go clickbombing my ads. I was later reaccepted into the program, and they were answering my emails and phone calls rather quickly.
As a matter of fact, I've always gotten prompt replies from both email and phone calls from Google support people.
