Hey there! Here to write a quick article about the new Facebook chat interface. Actually it was being rolled out since a week and I’ve just got mine and according to some live feedbacks I’ve got, it looks crappy as it doesn’t show all the people online but only those with whom you interact the most and some people find this irritating and not that great. So, how to get back the old Facebook chat interface or how to go back to the old Facebook chat? keep reading!
Before showing you the solution to this problem, let me explain what the whole problem is all about. As you can see in the pic below, the chat list when minimized shows more number of people than what I can actually see in my list.
As in the above pic, there are actually 34 people online but it shows just 25 which fits according to the browser size and all the other ones are kept hidden so you have no chance to see who else are online and not.
I have a sweet and short and quick solution to that. Just follow this link to get the old Facebook chat back. Check the below pic after applying the trick!

Okay,,, yes,,, that took me to what *USED* to me my FB chat window, but that did not correct my chat on my FB page back to the old one.
Are you expecting me to keep this new window open behind my main one just for this option?
yes, if you need that old chat, right now this is the only way out
I did not do anything for myself and I can see the old chat defaulted back.. is it with everyone? I think FB heard the cribbing of the users

You just need to install a script in your browser. The script also adds a scroll bar to the chat list so that you can see all your online friends. Check out the post in comment luv.

Sometimes I have the new chat format, sometimes I don't. I was given some instructions on how to go back to regular chat once by following on screen prompts that Facebook gave me. The next time I logged on, I had to do it again and so I just went with it, but it's sporadic in when it shows up. I have yet to use chat in the new format, though.

Thanks mate..It is really needed. I didn't like the new FB chat at all. I hope Facebook automatically shuts it down on seeing the not likable response for it.
I've always been a believer of "If it ain't broken, don't fix it". I have no idea what was going inside the head of the folks at Facebook for introducing the crappy annoying 'new' chat interface. I don't even chat on Facebook, I always end up chatting with someone I had no plans communicating with in the first place. Thanks Rahul for posting this, and sharing what you know.
