In my last article, I wrote about 3 WordPress SEO plugins I strongly recommend for any WordPress blog and as I said in it, I am here again to just give an overview about how I have configured my Yoast WordPress SEO plugin to perform in a better way and how you can take advantage from it. Hope this will help you in setting up your WordPress blog SEO in a better way and increase your blog traffic. Thank you!
Note : This is just a configuration which I have done for my blog. You may change it according to your blog and can make it perform better if you can but this is just how it works for my blog.
After installing the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin, Go to your WordPress Dashboard and you’ll see its settings. Open the Yoast Dashboard and just look at the images which I’ve uploaded. These are the settings I use for my blog and you can set them up for your blog as well.
1. Dashboard
2. Titles
As you can see in the above image, I’ve made the Meta description and keywords fields empty for a reason. You must fill them according to your blog’s meta and keyword description.
3. Indexation
These 3 are the main sections for which you require perfect settings and I don’t use the internal linking and breadcrumbs with this plugin as I have it inbuilt in my theme so you may set it according to you.
Analyze the settings for couple of weeks and do let me know if it works. For any more help, you can leave a comment below and I will try my level best to help you configuring this plugin.

or just perform a Google search and you’ll get the way to find them

If u want the verification codes u have to register in those webmaster tools sites and add ur site there and then you will get verification codes.
Every site gets its own unique code so u have to do it on your own,no body provides u :p

I'm currently using all-in-one SEO because it's been around for ever. I've wanted to switch to the Yoast plugin, but have been afraid of all the settings, and tweaking aspects. After reading your post I feel more confident in making the switch. Do you think Yoast will be in for the long haul, or are they a fly by night that will stop updating the plugin after a few years?

Hello, As I see , your configurations are pretty good. The problem you’re facing here is not because of yoast but because of some configuration in your Twitter plugin. Check the settings and add or remove and make necessary changes there. As you can see, my tweet plugin have some different settings which are not related to my Yoast plugin at all.

WordPress is one of the best CMS to build websites, and is practically optimized for search engines, and some plugin we can position ourselves very quickly in the first place. A very good plugin for SEO is All in One SEO Pack, this plugin for me is one of the most important gap is much more like the ones listed here but if we want to position quickly I think one of the best is All in One Seo Pack with SEOMetrico which is very good.

Hey Man, Good write up.
I use the All in one SEO Pack and it seems to work. The feature I like is that when creating a new page, or a new post, the SEO options are always there for that particular page. IE you can customise the Title, Description and Keywords for each page individually.
Does YOAST allow you to set individual meta for each page and post manually if you like? From the above example it looks like it just generates it from your content, in a set format each time.
Nope, Yoast has got every flexibility you need. It does allow you to manually insert description, tags, title if you want!
