For any blog, getting comments and get the discussion started is the most important thing they need as it is important to get comments on your articles because it leads to build a strong reputation of a blog. Here in this article, I am listing down those 4 basic step one needs to follow and get them correct in order to get that much-needed discussion going. I hope you will like it and it will help you getting those necessary comments for your blog and yes, don’t forget to leave a comment on this article!
There are a couple of things you can do to encourage commenting and engagement on a blog.
Make commenting Easy
If you’ve got complicated commenting system or verification process you are going to kill your chance of getting comments. Try to avoid having to “log in” or “create an account” to comment. The goal is to make the commenting process seamless and quick. If you think login is important, you may use commenting systems like IntenseDebate or Disqus.
Add a Game Mechanics Feature
I have seen blogs who have had good success with plugins that display who the top commentators are. This will give your readers a reason to comment and compete with other commentators. Watch out that the feature isn’t abused though for spamming. You can even setup a system of points that are awarded to commentators when they participate.
Encourage Comments In Your Post
Try to ask your readers a question at the end of your blog posts or encourage them to post their own stories, thoughts or ideas. Sometimes a little encouragement is all that is needed.
Create Content That Is Worth Commenting On
You’ll have an easier time getting comments if you create engaging and interesting content. If the content sucks from the beginning then why would anyone want to further engage with it.
Use Social Networking Effectively
I have had great success in using Twitter to help promote and drive traffic to my blog, so you may want to ask the question with a tweet, drive traffic to the blog and hopefully generate some discussion that way.
So, what are you waiting for? Leave a comment below if you’ve liked this article and even if you didn’t like it! Cheers!

Hmmm.. Commentators are the individuals who shaped our works ,pour more interest in them will lead to improvements and the result are desirable for both the parties. Nice article Rahul.
And one more thing will attract your visitors to comment on your blog is the tags (such as King of Commentators, Admirable commentators.. I mean try to give them honor like Gold medalist, Silver medalist, Bronze etc.. ) for the commentators, you can include it in your “Add a Game Mechanics Feature”. And ya which tag will you assign for me(make your own)?

Rahul great suggestions. Also what works is reading others comments. It’s amazing how people are unlimited when suggesting new ideas and are not withholding. This is what “social” media is all about. Great job!!

One of the way I commonly see these days is holding some things like top commentators award to the people who comment regularly. This thing increases the number of comments we get on a blog rapidly.
I particularly like the "Encourage Comments In Your Post" idea of posing questions and asking people to challenge you. Hopefully a discussion around the subject will emerge rather than just a list of different variations on "liked your post, man!"
